Abstract

Magnetic resonans views of 24 histopathologically proven tuberculosis spondylitis cases were retrospectively reviewed and specific signs of tuberculosis spondylitis were set. The pathology is seen more in the lower thoracal spine, is not seen in a single vertebra. MR was seen to be the best way to evaluate corpi and disc lesion, paraspinal collections, epidural and subligamentous extension. Therefore in order to help the differential diagnosis and to lead the surgeon during the operation, MRI is a primary option of preoperative evaluation.
