Effect of Unilateral Above-Knee Amputation on The Intact Foot

Abstract
20 unilateral above the knee amputees were examined in order to study whether or not their foot arches are affected by the increased weight on the non-amputated side. The results were compared with a control group contained five persons with flat feet, there was no difference in the incidence of pes planus.
